Jacqueline Wells Dickey Scholarship

      From among all applicants for the award, Mr. Jacob Gould is the 2024 winner of the Jacqueline Wells Dickey Scholarship. Mr. Gould is a junior majoring in Business Administration at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He has a 3.938 GPA. Mr. Gould is a member of the National Huguenot Society of Alabama and a descendant of David des Marets. He is engaged as a leader of Young Life, encouraging high school students in their faith journey. Mr. Gould will receive a $5000 scholarship.

Lois Leffler Walker Scholarship Assist Award

      From among all applicants for the award, Mr. David Crossan is the 2024 winner of the Lois Leffler Walker Scholarship Assist Award.  Mr. Crossan is a junior majoring in Accounting at Liberty University. He has a 3.93 GPA. Mr. Crossan is a member of the National Huguenot Society of Delaware and a descendant of Nicholas Gaylard. Mr. Crossan will receive a $500 scholarship.

Level 1 – Grades 2-4

Marilyn Smiley, Grade 3, of North Carolina. “We will not have to be controlled by the government for the Word of our God shall stand forever” – 1st place award of $100.

Level 2 – Grades 5-8

Will Crossan, Grade 8, of Delaware. “Why I Am Proud To Be A Huguenot Descendant” – 1st place $250.

Peyton Smiley, Grade 6, of North Carolina. “What It Means To Be A Descendant Of A Huguenot” – 2nd place $100.

Jack Crossan, Grade 5, of Delaware. “The Swamp Fox” – 3rd place $50.

Level 3 – Grades 9-12

Claire Naudain Gleason, Grade 10, of Virginia. “The Migration of Huguenots to Other Lands” – 1st place $500.

Samuel Crossan, Grade 12, of Delaware. “Huguenot Migration to Other Lands” – 2nd place $200.
