Randell Jones is an acclaimed author, storyteller, and historian. He is a past-president of the Overmountain Victory Trail Association and has worked closely with the National Park Service in promoting the Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail which covers 330 miles through four states. In 2011, After four years of intensive research and writing, Mr. Jones' published Before They Were Heroes at King's Mountain. That book received a Willie Parker Peace History Book Award from the North Carolina Society of Historians.
