The Huguenot Society of North Carolina

About Us & Our Objectives

The Huguenot Society of North Carolina is a patriotic, religious, historical, and educational organization. We perpetuate the memory and preserve the principles and the virtues of the Huguenots. We commemorate the great events in their history and we collect and preserve the historical data and relics that illustrate Huguenot life, manners, and customs.

The Huguenot Society of North Carolina is a state society of The National Huguenot Society, the objectives of which are: (1) patriotic, (2) religious, (3) historical, and (4) educational. These objectives are designed to perpetuate the memory, the spirit and the deeds of the men and women called Huguenots, who by reason of persecution in France on account of their basic tenets of faith and liberty, emigrated either directly or through other countries to North America and contributed by their character and ability to the development of the United States of America.
